We are currently seeking an experienced A&H Underwriter to join our team. As an A&H Underwriter, you will be responsible for assessing and evaluating applications for Accident and Health insurance coverage. Your role will involve analyzing risks, determining appropriate coverage, and ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze applications for Accident and Health insurance
- Evaluate risks and determine appropriate coverage
- Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements
- Communicate with brokers, agents, and policyholders to gather necessary information
- Assess medical records, claim history, and other relevant documents
- Collaborate with underwriting team to make informed decisions
- Provide excellent customer service and support
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Stay updated with industry trends and market conditions
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in underwriting or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to make sound decisions based on data and analysis
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using underwriting software and tools
- Knowledge of insurance industry regulations and practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Conflict resolution skills
