Position Summary
We are seeking an Ad Sales Executive to lead North American sales for a global messaging platform (KakaoTalk) with highly engaged users across the U.S. and Korean-American markets.
The ideal candidate brings strong relationships with advertisers and agencies and has a proven track record of selling mobile and digital media solutions.
This role focuses on growing direct and agency partnerships, developing custom campaign solutions, and positioning the platform as a must-buy media channel for U.S. and Korean-American markets.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual advertising sales quotas.
- Develop strategic sales plans to drive consistent revenue performance.
New Business Development
- Prospect, pitch, and close new advertising deals with U.S.-based brands and major media agencies.
- Manage a full sales cycle: outreach → needs analysis → proposal → negotiation → closing.
Strategic Solution Selling
- Build customized media proposals utilizing proprietary ad products (e.g., display, messaging-based ads, in-app placements).
- Translate client marketing objectives into effective, ROI-driven campaign strategies.
Client Relationship Management
- Maintain strong relationships with senior-level advertisers and agency partners.
- Conduct performance reviews, optimize campaigns, and secure renewals.
Market Intelligence
- Stay updated on U.S. digital advertising trends, mobile media innovations, and competitive platforms.
- Communicate market feedback to internal teams for product improvement and strategic planning.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of digital media, ad sales, or business development experience (media platform, ad tech, or agency experience preferred).
- Proven success closing deals with major U.S. brands and media agency holding companies .
- Strong understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem—including mobile media, programmatic buying, targeting, and performance marketing.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Full professional proficiency in English.
- Korean language proficiency (for communication with headquarters and Korean-American clients).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience marketing or selling to AAPI or Korean-American consumer segments.
- Strong interest in mobile messaging platforms and user engagement models.
