Job Description

Aramark Student Nutrition provides food and nutrition services to over 350 school districts in the U.S. It offers public and private education institutions a variety of dining options including breakfast and lunch programs, after-school snacks, catering, nutrition education and retail operations. The Administrative Assistant reports directly to the Senior Human Resources Manager, providing essential support and ensuring seamless operations within the organization. This role demands a combination of professional etiquette, excellent communication skills, and technical proficiency to efficiently manage various administrative tasks and provide support in a fast-paced environment.

COMPENSATION: The hourly rate or salary range for this position ranges from $25.00 to $28.00, depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and Aramark reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time AND FOR ANY REASON, including, BUT NOT LIMITED TO for reasons related to individual performance, Aramark or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage email correspondence
  • Consult higher-level authorities to resolve difficult issues.

Office Management

  • Maintain a clean and organized office environment.
  • Manage and order office supplies.
  • Coordinate maintenance services.

Employee Engagement

  • Assist in organizing employee engagement events.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree preferred.
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • 3-6 years of previous administrative or office experience required.
  • Validated understanding of computers.
  • Strong digital literacy skills required (Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams; Google Workspace: Docs, Sheets, Presentations, Gmail, Drive, Meets)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates self-development, integrity, confidentiality, and discretion.
  • Interpret written information and ideas, utilizing logic and reasoning to evaluate solutions and approaches.
  • Shows initiative and follows established policies and procedures.
  • Previous customer service experience required.

Work Environment

The Administrative Assistant will work in an office setting, with regular day time hours. The role may require occasional overtime or weekend work depending on company needs. Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb.
