Job Description

Summary: 

Our award-winning client is seeking an AVP - Trust Officer to join their team.

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in maintaining relationships for Trust accounts that result in highly satisfied clients. Assist with preparation and attend meetings with beneficiaries to establish investment objectives and risk tolerances.
  • Research and clearly and concisely summarize discussions & significant events and transactions with officers. Assist officers in addressing and resolving client concerns, problems or issues expeditiously. Maintain familiarity with trust provisions, family.
  • Collaborate with officers and potentially client’s attorneys and accountants to promote fiduciary services and assist in the construction of plans for clients financial needs.
  • Demonstrates an active approach to identifying and pursuing new Trust business opportunities with referrals.
  • Maintain a presence within local markets and communities through civic board involvement, as well as networking with like-minded professionals.
  • Contributes to the sales effort by sharing technical expertise and product knowledge and providing support to officers.
  • Ensures daily operations, service delivery, business expectations and execution of Trust related transactions are appropriately handled.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance - CFP, JD a plus.
  • Ability to read, understand, analyze, and interpret legal trust documents and wills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of investment principles and asset allocation strategies.
  • Personal presence, interpersonal skills, experience in developing strong client relationships, and a deep client service orientation.
  • Ability to present complex ideas and financial information in a simplified, easy-to-understand manner.
  • Possess strong, flexible interpersonal skills and ability to interact with clients at all levels so as to effectively address the needs of the client.
  • Excellent written skills, with ability to write business correspondence.
  • Must have a strong ability to organize and manage tasks, balance changing priorities to deliver the highest quality of trust services.
