Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to join our team and drive data solutions that enhance business insights and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL Server administration and development , coupled with hands-on expertise in Azure-based data platforms and tools. This role’s primary focus is implementing and maintaining Azure-based data solutions , including Azure VMs , Azure Databases , and Azure Data Warehouse/Lakehouse environments.
Must-Have Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a SQL Database Administrator.
Strong proficiency in SQL Server and T-SQL development.
Proven ability to design and optimize complex database views, stored procedures, and other database objects.
Hands-on experience with Azure VMs, Azure Databases, and Azure Data Warehouse/Lakehouse solutions.
Expertise with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Data Flow Gen2 for ETL processes.
Comprehensive knowledge of star schema and semantic model design principles.
Experience with SSIS for data integration between heterogeneous sources.
Extensive knowledge of data lakes for scalable storage and analytics.
Familiarity with version control tools for managing database schema and changes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of SSRS and Power BI for reporting and visualization.
Experience with SQL Server high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
Familiarity with SQL Server Query Store for query performance insights.
Exposure to D365 environments.
