Job Description
Ghostlight Coffee in Dayton, OH is looking for one baker to join our coffeehouse & bakery family. We are located on 1201 Wayne Ave.. Our ideal candidate is creative, attentive, motivated, and engaged.
Responsibilities
- Prepare recipes as decided by the Head Baker. Occasions may arise where you will be able to suggest, research & develop recipes for special occasions and weekend treats.
- Mix and blend batters / roll, knead, cut, or shape dough to form scones, muffins, cakes, pies, cookies, or other products.
- Prepare daily breakfast sandwiches and baked goods for the coffeehouse to sell.
- Set oven temperatures and monitor or modify as needed
- Ice, glaze, and decorate baked goods
- Prepare and maintain inventory
- Clean and sanitize workstation and equipment
- Have knowledge of, and ability to adhere to strict food handling safety standards
- Be aware of food allergens, and always follow procedures to ensure no cross-contamination occurs
- Deliver prepared goods upon completion (to coffeehouse and the occasional wholesale customer)
Qualifications
- Attention to detail in all aspects of baking
- Creative thinker when it comes to flavors & baking
- Dedicated to working as a team towards one goal
- Experience as a Baker a plus
