Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and friendly barista to join our team. As a barista at Hot Java Bar, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality coffee beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our customers. Daytime and Nightime shifts available. Bartending experience a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve coffee and tea beverages consistently to company standards.
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders and answering questions about the menu.
- Operate and maintain coffee-making equipment, including espresso machines and grinders.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar and seating areas.
- Assist with inventory management, including restocking supplies and reporting low stock levels.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Uphold all health and safety regulations within the coffee shop.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, if needed.
- Passion for coffee and a willingness to learn and grow in the role.
