Job Description
Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to assist with the receiving, sorting, and delivery of incoming shipments including UPS, FedEx, DHL, Amazon, and other carriers. The role includes scanning, logging, and distributing packages efficiently and safely. This position involves regular lifting, walking, standing, and operating a cargo van or small box truck for delivery routes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and process overnight, Next Day Air, Ground, and Amazon parcels.
- Scan and log all incoming packages using the UPS Track Pad system.
- Sort and organize parcels for timely internal delivery.
- Accurately record the total number of parcels received.
- Operate a cargo van and small box truck to deliver packages across campus or designated areas.
- Safely lift and handle packages, occasionally weighing up to 150 lbs. (most packages range from 10 50 lbs.), with team assistance as needed.
- Perform additional warehouse, delivery, or administrative support tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license required (box truck driving experience preferred).
- Ability to lift over 25 lbs. independently and up to 150 lbs. with team support.
- Comfortable with physically active work including lifting, standing, walking, and sitting.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or delivery roles is preferred.
Additional Information:
- This is a BU (Bargaining Unit) position with a strict limit of 90 days in a temporary role.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Safety-conscious with a focus on handling parcels and vehicles responsibly.
