Assistant or Associate Professor. Podiatry Part Time– Responsibilities will include duties in the Department of Family, Internal, and Rural Medicine, including teaching medical students and residents in clinical training, research and scholarly activity as well as providing direct patient care, with an emphasis in a rural outpatient/ambulatory primary care setting.
Detailed Position Information
The Department of Family Medicine in the College of Community Health Sciences at the University of Alabama (UA) is excited to announce the availability of one assistant or associate professor faculty position for part time non tenure earning clinical track BC/BE Podiatrist to meet its growing needs. Podiatry – Responsibilities will include duties teaching medical students and residents in clinical training, research and scholarly activity as well as providing direct patient care, with an emphasis in a rural outpatient/ambulatory primary care setting as well as administrative tasks typical for a faculty appointment.
Minimum Qualifications
Doctor of Podiatric Medicine, and Board eligible/Board Certified in Podiatric Medicine required. Candidates must meet Alabama medical licensure requirements and complete licensure within the state prior to start date.
Preferred Qualifications
A track record of scholarship, focusing on learning and teaching in a health professions or medical school environment would be desirable. Successful candidates will display a collaborative and entrepreneurial spirit, a desire to work in multidisciplinary and inter-professional teams and have excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
