Job Description
Chief Engineer with a minimum limitation of 1,600 GRT.
Working as a full time contract engineer on the State of Texas Galveston-Port Bolivar Ferries. This is a contracted full time job with a standard 40 hour week with overtime. Standby is available at a rate of two hours regular pay if assigned to vessels; one hour regular pay if working ashore. MUST HAVE A USCG Merchant Mariner Credential of Chief Engineer with a minimum limitation of 1,600 gross registered tons. The position requires that you have a residence that allows for a one hour response for standby.
Pay is hourly at $70.79 an hour up to 40 work hours. Overtime is $106.19 an hour over 40 hours. Standby pay does not count towards work hours.
