About the Role:
We're looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Coding Analyst to join our team. As a coding analyst, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing for healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough pre-bill chart reviews to identify revenue opportunities and potential coding compliance issues.
Analyze medical records to ensure accurate MS-DRG assignments based on coding guidelines and clinical knowledge.
Collaborate with physicians to clarify documentation and improve coding accuracy.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding regulations and industry standards.
Respond promptly to client inquiries and address rebills.
Qualifications:
Certification: AHIMA-certified CCS, CDIP, or ACDIS-certified CCDS required.
Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in acute inpatient hospital coding and/or auditing.
Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS coding and strong analytical skills.
Technical Skills: Experience with electronic health records (e.g., Cerner, Meditech, Epic) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
