Job Title: Clinical Documentation Specialist
Duties:
- Conduct thorough reviews of clinical documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness for coding and billing purposes.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify ambiguous or incomplete documentation.
- Utilize EPIC and 3M systems to analyze and update medical records.
- Provide education to clinical staff regarding documentation standards and compliance.
- Monitor and track documentation trends to identify areas for improvement.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in EPIC and 3M systems.
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows, medical coding, and documentation improvement strategies.
Education:
- BS degree required.
- Current RN, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant license required.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of recent hospital acute care or verifiable documentation improvement experience required.
