Job Title: Commerical Designer - WPXI TV

 

Position Overview

WPXI TV Pittsburgh is seeking a talented commercial designer who can take the lead on graphics projects. We’re in search of someone with a positive, can-do attitude who can collaborate with a talented and supportive group of producers. You will be surrounded by a team that wants to win, and values your expertise, passion and creativity. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Design graphics for TV commercials and promos, sponsorships, digital, and other projects, as assigned.  
• Must be able to finish projects for air with minimum supervision  
• Represent the creative department with the highest quality production projects and professionalism  
• Gain a full understanding of projects and give input for creative solutions  
• Offer innovative and creative ideas that adds value to all projects  
• Seek input while managing projects to assure deadlines are met  
• Multi-task effectively, working quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment  

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree or 2 years equivalent work experience 
• Must have good work ethic and strong problem-solving skills 
• Ability to demonstrate a high level of creativity under tight deadlines 
• May be responsible for other duties, as assigned
• An eye for design, color and composition 
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop 

Preferred Qualifications

• Television, production, chyron and animation experience a plus
