smartdept. is searching for a Copywriter for a consulting firm client located in Chicago, IL . The ideal candidate will come with 3+ years of copywriting experience in the technology industry. This is a part-time (around 5 hours per week) , remote , ongoing contract opportunity. This person must be local to the Chicago area . Compensation for this position is expected to be $25-$30/hour depending on experience level and fit.
What You’ll Do:
- Write engaging and on-brand copy for a variety of materials including website content, blog posts, social media updates, email campaigns, advertisements, and promotional materials.
- Conduct thorough research to understand target audiences, market trends, and competitors. Develop content strategies that align with marketing goals and client objectives.
- Review and edit copy to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand voice and style guidelines.
- Work closely other team members to brainstorm and execute creative concepts. Participate in meetings to discuss project goals, deadlines, and deliverables.
What You’ll Need:
- Proven experience as a copywriter in the tech space, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse writing samples.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to write in various styles and tones to suit different audiences and platforms.
- Experience with SEO practices and tools is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to work.
