Job Description
Duties:
- Locate, compile, analyze and synthesize financial, biographical, and philanthropic information on key audiences.
- Identify and deliver organizational research needs based on departmental objectives.
- Maintain an active awareness of philanthropy and donor relations goals and objectives and how they relate to the database.
- Create, maintain, and analyze philanthropy dashboard reports.
- Act as point person with the data base and all end-users involving the database, including database performance analysis, corrective action, proactive tuning, training and maintenance.
- Prepares and maintains donor files including but not limited to financial payments and profiles while maintaining a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Responsible to effectively and accurately query the database to capture financial and analytical reports, mailing lists, and other documents needed for philanthropy activities in a timely manner.
- Design, develop and produce materials needed by Philanthropy including correspondence, reports, presentations, forms, manuals, brochures, and mailing documents.
- Update donor database regularly to incorporate new information.
- Troubleshoot problems and concerns on matters related to the maintenance of gift and donor records
Systems:
- 4+ years of current experience with Raiser's Edge (could look at 3 years based on demonstrated experience)
- In depth experience with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT
- In depth experience with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge database 7.96
- In depth Experience with Omatic
- Experience with MailChimp
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Skills that would be nice to have for someone taking on the role long term:
- Organize wealth screening on database every 3-5 years using wealth engine or other tools.
- Develop systems for measuring and reporting staff progress in donor cultivation and stewardship.
- Analyze department needs and assist in eliminating redundancy and improve effectiveness of operations.
- Establish policies, document, and maintain operational procedures for database.
