Job Description
We are recruiting for an expereinced Data Engineer for a 3-4 month contract role with our client. The position can be remote, but applicants must be eligible to work in the United States and pass a background check. Preference to candidates in the Oklahoma City area.
Responsibilities of the Data Engineer position - Oversee end-to-end data migration processes, ensuring smooth transitions from legacy system to Cloud
- Utilize advanced Python and PySpark scripting skills to develop and maintain data solutions.
- Design and develop scalable data frameworks to support complex data migration
- Work with a team of junior data engineers, providing mentorship and guidance on best practices and development techniques.
- Design, implement, and optimize ETL processes to handle large volumes of data efficiently.
Requirements for the Data Engineer position: - Proven expertise in Python and PySpark scripting with at least 3 years of industry experience
- 3+ years of experience with ETL processes and data migration
- Strong familiarity with AWS data platforms and services.
- Leadership skills and experience in mentoring and coaching junior data engineers
