LaSalle Network is hiring a midlevel Data Scientist to support one of our leading retail clients in developing next-generation personalization and recommendation systems. This contract opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about AI innovation and eager to deliver real business impact through data-driven insights.
What’s the job?
Build, test, and deploy recommendation, personalization, and predictive models across digital platforms
Develop scalable, end-to-end ML pipelines—from data prep and feature engineering to production inference
Utilize Transformers, embeddings, and semantic search techniques to improve model performance
Experiment with generative AI and RAG solutions to enhance search and personalization features
Collaborate with Machine Learning Engineers and Data Engineers to operationalize and monitor ML systems
Define success metrics, run A/B experiments, and translate findings into actionable strategies
What’s needed?
Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and Databricks
Strong experience with scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Hugging Face libraries
Proven background in recommendation systems or customer personalization
Familiarity with A/B testing, model observability, and MLOps best practices
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
