Job Description:
The University of Florida seeks an engaged, visionary, and collaborative faculty member to provide
leadership and administration to assist the School of Special Education, School Psychology, & Early Childhood Studies (SESPECS) faculty in
achieving excellence in scholarship, teaching, and service. This is a faculty position with administrative responsibilities reporting to the
College of Education (COE) Dean.
This position is a nine-month appointment that includes a .66 FTE assignment during the summer
period and an administrative stipend. The start date and term of each appointment will be negotiated with the COE Dean.

Expected Salary:
Salary
is negotiable, competitive, and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be currently employed
as a full-time faculty member at UF (OPS, Post-Docs, Adjuncts, Interim, Courtesy or Visiting faculty are NOT eligible to apply.)
- Must hold a doctoral degree in a relevant field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Show evidence of strong written and
interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrate successful relevant administrative experience (e.g., coordinator of an academic
program; director of a program, sizable grant, or center/institute, director or associate director of a department or school, graduate
coordinator)
- Doctoral degree in a field within the discipline of education (broadly defined)
- Experience working in/with
the College of Education
- Ability to communicate clearly and provide leadership and to integrate the views of others in decisions
and in the context of shared governance
- Commitment to securing external funding and support for program maintenance and
development
- Ability to organize large-scale projects and complete complex projects under tight deadlines
- Ability to guide
and mentor the professional agendas of SESPECS faculty
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of the larger COE
administrative team
- Ability to manage staff responsible for school functioning and logistics
