Job Description
The Disaster Restoration Estimator will be responsible for creating and managing estimates within the commercial and industrial sectors. This role is part of our pre-mitigation and preconstruction estimating team, where you will prepare budgets, estimates, and pre-bid packages utilizing Xactimate, ROMS, NTE, Time & Material, and other relevant methods.

Skills
- Proficient in estimating software such as Xactimate or Symbility
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong damage assessment capabilities
- Familiarity with project budgeting and scheduling
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- General knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Valid Drivers License
Responsibilities
- Create accurate and timely estimates using estimating software
- Conduct job walkthroughs and damage assessments
- Document the buildings condition and extent of damage
- Collaborate with project management to develop project budgets and production schedules
- Assist in creating Job Hazard Assessments (JHA)
- Support project management with change orders and project invoices
- Maintain communication with clients, insurance carriers, and stakeholders
- Ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets
Qualifications
- 4-6 years of related experience
- Proven experience in estimating large, full-scale projects
- Familiarity with standard concepts and practices in the restoration and reconstruction fields
- Ability to travel frequently and on short notice within the Northeast region
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Relevant certifications in estimating or restoration preferred
