Summary/Objective:
The Documentation Control position collects, maintains, and distributes all documents necessary to define product configuration and control manufacturing processes that ensure conformance to customer requirements; develops and maintains a comprehensive filing system and computer database for all documents to be retained in the document control center; manages the operation of the document control center to ensure that all users have the latest revision of appropriate documentation in a timely manner.
Essential Functions:
- Collect and maintain files of the latest revision-level documentation necessary to define product configuration and control manufacturing processes
- Timely distribution of the latest revision level documentation to all appropriate users and ensure that obsolete documentation is removed from distribution
- Maintain a computer database of all filed documentation that ensures fast retrieval of documents
- Perform clerical typing duties to generate documents as necessary

Supervisory Responsibility:
The Documentation Control position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Working conditions
Work Environment:
- This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk.
- This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
- This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm.
- The employee must work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status.
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- 3-5 years of related experience
