This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite at Towne Centre Drive and remote.
The Epic Beacon Analyst will actively contribute to an innovative team dedicated to establishing a new foundation for advancing clinical delivery and quality outcomes. The Incumbent will primarily work with our Beacon application in multiple infusion centers across UC San Diego Health. Our Moores Cancer Center is San Diego's only National Cancer Institute designated comprehensive cancer center in San Diego. We are expanding our infusion center and oncology clinic by adding additional space into a new state-of-the-art facility on our Hillcrest campus. This position will also support Bone Marrow Transplant, Apheresis, and other related Epic applications.
The Incumbent will gain knowledge of the Epic EMR software, medical center operations, and workflow and will work closely with the project team's senior application analysts and clinical leaders to translate business needs into EMR functionality. Incumbent will build data sets, master files, and reports, perform quality assurance and integrated testing, and release new functionality to end-users. The Incumbent will review vendor software releases and updates to test desired features and implement them within UCSD Health System. The Incumbent will assist in maintaining current test and training environments and participate in training end-users. The Incumbent will participate in the on-call rotation providing 7/24 problem management support and resolution for clinical systems.
Seven (7) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor’s degree in related area plus three (3) years of related experience/training.
Must obtain certification in primary EMR module(s) within four (4) months of initial hire.
Must maintain current certification for primary EMR module(s) as a condition of employment.
Experience and proven success in information systems implementation, development, and support within a large-scale healthcare organization.
Certified in Epic Beacon.
Certified in an Epic clinical application.
Experience as a major participant in a clinical system implementation
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $94,400 - $176,800 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $45.21 - $84.67
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
