We are seeking a highly skilled
Executive Legal Assistant to join our client’s Chicago office. You’ll support the Managing Partner with trial preparation, managing case information, overseeing case progression, calendar management, and travel arrangements. Our client has over 20 years of experience in personal injury litigation, with knowledge and resources needed to litigate complicated cases and the compassion to advocate wholeheartedly for clients.
This is a full-time, hybrid position with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. The Executive Legal Assistant will work four days per week in the office in downtown Chicago and will perform one day of remote work per week.
Overall, you must be able to work independently, be well-organized, flexible, resourceful, and efficient. In this role you will interact with individuals at various levels and must have a high commitment to confidentiality and a history of excellent professionalism.
Executive Legal Assistant Responsibilities: - Provide administrative support to the managing partner as needed, including scheduling meetings, managing the calendar, and organizing travel
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and co-counsel to facilitate case generation case coordination and case progress
- Manage incoming correspondence, including emails and phone calls, prioritizing and responding as needed
- Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, creating PowerPoint presentations, preparing trial binders, and coordinating logistics
- Generate, prepare, and organize documentation and forms requisite to litigation as requested
- Perform other administrative tasks, including office management, as required to support the Managing Partner and enhance the firm's operations
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Executive Legal Assistant Requirements: - Bachelor's degree from a four-year college with an excellent academic background
- Previous experience in legal operations, paralegal work, or a similar role
- Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal management software
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
