The Senior Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in providing financial insights and support to the merchandising and inventory management teams. This position will focus on analyzing and reporting financial data related to inventory, sales, and merchandising strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Apply solid knowledge of financial and business analytics principles to all deliverables.
• Leverage an understanding of policies, data and resources to support projects or initiatives.
• Collaborate with merchandising team to assess the financial impact of product assortment decisions, promotions, and pricing strategies.
• Prepare, analyze and communicate financial reports as well as financial and non-financial insights related to sales and inventory performance, including turnover rates, stock levels, and gross margin analysis to functional partners, and merchandising leadership.
• Analyze inventory aging, obsolescence, and other key metrics to minimize financial impact and support inventory health.
• Support the development of all merchandise financial plans.
• Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes related to inventory and merchandising.
• Identify and communicate key financial risks, root causes and opportunities, proposing actionable recommendations to improve financial outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, supply chain or a related field required.5-7 years’ experience in financial analysis and forecasting with a focus on inventory management, merchandising, or retail finance.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and their financial implications. 
• Experience with analytic modeling and report automation as well as analyzing big data via data structuring and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.). Basic understanding of statistics.
• Ability to manage multiple projects through the project management process.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
