The Petal is a full-service floral design boutique known for refined, organic designs. We create florals for everyday moments, weddings, and events, and we’re seeking a talented Floral Designer with 3+ years of professional experience to join our growing team.
This role is ideal for a designer who is confident in their craft, thrives in a collaborative studio environment, and takes pride in thoughtful, elevated floral work.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute daily arrangements, bouquets, and custom orders to The Petal’s aesthetic and quality standards
- Create florals for weddings and events, including installation and breakdown as needed
- Process and care for flowers and plants to ensure optimal freshness and longevity
- Assist with recipe execution, stem counts, and efficient use of product
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-styled design space
- Provide warm, professional customer service when interacting with clients in-store or by phone
- Support the team during holidays and high-volume periods (Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, etc.)
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of professional floral design experience (retail, event, or wedding design)
- Strong design skills with a natural, refined, and modern aesthetic
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Comfortable following recipes while also contributing creative input
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive team attitude
- Ability to lift 30–40 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Weekend and holiday availability required
