Are you passionate about supporting military families and enhancing their well-being? We're seeking a Functional Chief to oversee the New Parent Support (NPS) Home Visitor Program as part of the Navy Fleet and Family Support Program (FFSP). This role plays a crucial part in strengthening family readiness and resilience for service members and their loved ones.
The NPS program provides vital support to active duty members and their families, offering resources and guidance tailored to the unique challenges of military life. As the Functional Chief, you will lead efforts to ensure high-quality program execution, develop strategies for improvement, and collaborate with leadership to deliver impactful services worldwide.
This position is currently in the proposal phase, and your expertise will be key in shaping the program's success.
Key Responsibilities
Program Oversight: Lead and coordinate the NPS program's operations, ensuring quality services are delivered effectively.
Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with program leadership, service representatives, and contract site leads to enhance program performance.
Training & Development: Assist in developing standardized training, curriculum, and program implementation guidelines.
Quality Assurance: Monitor service effectiveness, assess outcomes, and recommend improvements to optimize program impact.
Policy & Compliance: Ensure all services align with current Navy requirements and best practices in family support.
Marketing & Outreach: Support the development of outreach strategies to increase program awareness and engagement.
Data Management: Oversee documentation and reporting processes to ensure compliance and service accountability.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in social work, nursing, maternal/child health, child development, or public health.
Experience:
At least 3 years of experience in social work, maternal/child health, or family support services.
Minimum of 2 years managing or coordinating social services programs.
Prior experience with military family support programs is highly preferred.
Licensing: Nursing candidates must hold a current state license or certification.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong communication, leadership, and advocacy skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
Ability to assess program effectiveness and make data-driven recommendations.
Familiarity with military culture and family support challenges is a plus.
Knowledge of FFSMIS systems (desired but not required).
