Express Employment is currently looking for a reliable and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator/General Labor in Toledo, OH. This dual-role position involves operating heavy machinery while also performing general labor tasks to support various construction and site operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and backhoes safely and efficiently
- Perform general labor tasks, including site preparation, cleanup, and assisting with materials handling
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on heavy equipment to ensure safe operations
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure project deadlines are met
- Document equipment usage and report any mechanical issues to supervisors
- Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience operating heavy machinery is required
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and protocols for heavy equipment operation
- Ability to perform physical labor and work in varying weather conditions
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate various types of heavy equipment
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as required
