Job Description

Swanky Scoop is a premium ice cream store in downtown Woodinville (Woodin Creek Village). We are looking for an ice cream maker to join our kitchen crew. Training available for the right candidate!

Ice Cream Maker Responsibilities:

• Follow recipes for various dairy and non-dairy ice creams and sorbets.
• Assemble, disassemble, clean, and sanitize ice cream machine
• Pouring ice cream ingredients into machine, accurately setting controls, monitoring condition of ice cream, and extruding into tubs while adding swirls, ripples, inclusions, etc.
• Adhere to allergen practices to limit cross contamination
• Accurately record ice cream production amounts, note flavors on tubs with date.
• Cleaning: work table, bowls, tubs, tools, etc.
• Scheduling is flexible--whether early mornings, midday, or late evenings, we can work with your schedule.
• May accept deliveries or stock ingredients/inventory

Qualities:

• Food preparation experience.
• Familiar with using weights/scales for recipes.
• Shows an eye for detail, a willingness to clean, and is a team player.
• Loves ice cream, and is committed to the customer’s positive experience. 
• Be able to stand for long periods of time and lift 25-30 lbs (2.5 gallon tubs of ice cream and ice cream machine parts).
• Reliable, on time, and ready to hustle for every shift.

Requirements:

• Access to a phone and internet for scheduling communication.
• Food worker/safety card (can be acquired after job offer)
• Everybody cleans.
• Age 18 or older

Additional details

• Can expand into baking and cake decorating, depending on interest of the candidate.
• This is a tipped position.
• Shifts need to be 5 hours or longer.
