REQUIREMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

PAINTER

EDUCATION CERTIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or equivalent Valid Class A Drivers License with a clean record

EXPERIENCE

Two years comparable experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Familiar with concepts and standards of mechanical practices and procedures for shelving assembly.
  • Ability to consistently maintain organization.
  • Ability to safely and efficiently operate paint booth and sprayer.
  • Ability to perform job duties while using various forms of Personal Protective Equipment; such as steel toe shoes, hard hat, safety shield, etc.
  • Ability to maintain professional behavior in all situations.
  • Ability to communicate English clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to adhere to company procedures and rules.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Regularly perform work in an environment with some exposure to noise, varying temperatures, smoke, etc.
  • Regularly stand and/or walk for extended periods of time, up to a full 8 hour shift.
  • Frequently use two hands to lift 50+ lbs. as well as manipulate product and equipment which may require reaching above the shoulders or kneeling down to work at ground level etc.
  • Occasionally climb ladders to get items off of high shelves or other locations.

JOB DUTIES

  • Complete tasks as requested by management and/or Supervisor.
  • Pulling material from inventory for painting.
  • Managing on hand inventory of a multitude of components.
  • Primary Painter
  • Maintain cleanliness and report any needed repairs of company property.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Maintain open line of communication with manager.
  • Observes and promotes safe work practices and procedures.
  • Back up to pulling orders when necessary or needed as requested by supervisor.
  • All duties are subject to change upon management discretion.
  • Complete paint inventory log weekly.

EXPECTATIONS

  • Keep an accurate daily time sheet.
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday 6:00 am-2:30 pm with 30 minute lunch.
  • Will work maximum of 8 hours a day unless overtime is approved IN ADVANCE by management.
Terms: Regularly – approximately once per hour or more, depending on job Frequently – approximately two or more times per shift, depending on job Occasionally – several times per week, depending on jobs
