Independent school with a commitment to growing a culturally proficient faculty seeks an Instructional Support Specialist for grades 5 through 8 for the 2025-2026 school year. The responsibilities of this position include:
Director of the Learning Lab in Upper School
Provide and coordinate reading, math, and social/emotional interventions and monitor student progress during those interventions
Coordinate initial and annual review meetings for students with accommodations plans,
Participate in the RTI process,
Support teachers in integrating best practices for neurodiverse students,
Coordinate extended time for students with IEPs and ensure testing accommodations are followed,
Interpret psycho-educational evaluations and create Individual Learning Plans when as appropriate.
A Masters degree in education and a minimum of three years of classroom experience is required, with a degree in special education preferred. A commitment to equity and inclusion is also required.
