Job Description
The Information Technology Support Specialist is a key member of the IT team, responsible for providing end-user support and maintaining IT infrastructure. This role involves monitoring, responding to, triaging, troubleshooting, and escalating IT support tickets, as well as handling equipment repairs and deployments. The successful candidate will assist in employee onboarding/offboarding and ensure accurate inventory management of IT assets. Our small team structure offers opportunities to gain hands-on experience, learn new skills, and receive training in various IT domains.
Duties and responsibilities - Monitors, responds to, and manages IT support tickets, ensuring timely resolution or escalation.
- Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to hardware, software, and connectivity.
- Deploys new computers, peripherals, and equipment to users.
- Assists in the onboarding and offboarding process by setting up/deactivating user accounts and equipment.
- Maintains an accurate inventory of IT equipment and track usage.
- Performs IT hardware repairs and ensure all systems are functioning effectively.
- Collaborates with team members to improve IT processes and support business needs.
Qualifications Required Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent education.
- 1-2 years of experience in IT support or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Proficiency in Office 365 (Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive).
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills, with a customer service mindset.
- Basic networking knowledge (VPN, Wi-Fi, LAN).
Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with Microsoft Intune.
- Experience with MacOS.
- CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working conditions This position operates in a hybrid work environment in the Denver/Centennial area. After a probationary period, employees may work from home up to four days per week. Occasional in-office presence is required for equipment deployment, team collaboration, and other business needs. Routine use of standard office equipment, including computers, phones, and copiers, is expected.
Physical requirements This is a largely sedentary role with occasional standing, walking, and lifting of equipment up to 50 pounds.
Direct reports This position is not a supervisory position.
