Jr. Robotics Engineer

Location: Irvine, CA / on-site

Employment Type: Full-time

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Robotics Engineer to join the growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge robotic systems for a variety of applications. You will work closely with a team of engineers and scientists to solve challenging problems and push the boundaries of robotics technology.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, C++, LINUX and Node.js.
  • Extensive experience with ROS (Robot Operating System).
  • Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • Experience with robot kinematics, dynamics, and control.
  • Experience with sensor integration and data processing.
  • Experience with machine learning for robotics applications (a plus).
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure (a plus).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Strong work ethic and a passion for robotics.

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience in deploying and maintaining robotic systems in real-world environments (e.g., field robotics, industrial automation, etc.).
  • Experience working with companies like Boston Dynamics or other leading robotics companies is a strong plus.

Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or related field.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement robotic algorithms and control systems using Python, C++, Node.js (plus), and LINUX.
  • Develop and maintain robust software modules for robot perception, motion planning, and control.
  • Integrate and test robotic hardware and software components.
  • Develop and maintain real-time control systems for robots.
  • Troubleshoot and debug robotic systems.
  • Conduct system integration and field testing of robotic systems.
  • Lead the implementation, API development, and integration of kernel-level drivers and ROS packages.
  • Mentor junior engineers on best practices for robotics software development.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other engineers.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their technical needs, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
