Lead Power Platform & Dynamics 365 Developer

Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design, customization, and implementation of solutions using Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (Customer Service, Field Service, Sales) and the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse).
Manage the full solution lifecycle including requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, design, configuration, development, testing, deployment, and support.
Develop, configure, and optimize model-driven apps, canvas apps, workflows, plug-ins, custom connectors, Azure Functions, and API integrations.
Implement and manage role-based security and governance standards across D365 and Power Platform environments.
Work with reusable components, environment variables, managed/unmanaged solutions, and DevOps pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
Support data migration efforts and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure system stability and performance.
Provide documentation, technical analysis, and platform usage guidance to stakeholders and end-users.
Act as the primary subject matter expert and liaison between VITA and customer agencies, ensuring adherence to Commonwealth of Virginia IT policies, governance, and enterprise architecture standards.
8+ years of experience in Dynamics 365 CRM (Customer Engagement Customer Service, Sales, or Field Service).
5+ years of experience as a Power Platform/D365 Lead Developer.
Expertise in model-driven apps, canvas apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
Strong background in Forms, Views, Plug-ins, Workflows, and custom development.
Proficiency with standard and premium connectors , API integrations, and Azure Functions.
3+ years of experience working in a Microsoft GCC tenant.
Experience with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 services.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and solution optimization skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and agency stakeholders.
Experience with DevOps in Power Platform/D365 environments.
Prior experience working with Virginia state agencies.
Knowledge of Microsoft licensing models for D365 and Power Platform
