Job Description

Lead Power Platform & Dynamics 365 Developer

3 days a week in chesterfield, VA

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, customization, and implementation of solutions using Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (Customer Service, Field Service, Sales) and the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse).

  • Manage the full solution lifecycle including requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, design, configuration, development, testing, deployment, and support.

  • Develop, configure, and optimize model-driven apps, canvas apps, workflows, plug-ins, custom connectors, Azure Functions, and API integrations.

  • Implement and manage role-based security and governance standards across D365 and Power Platform environments.

  • Work with reusable components, environment variables, managed/unmanaged solutions, and DevOps pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).

  • Support data migration efforts and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure system stability and performance.

  • Provide documentation, technical analysis, and platform usage guidance to stakeholders and end-users.

  • Act as the primary subject matter expert and liaison between VITA and customer agencies, ensuring adherence to Commonwealth of Virginia IT policies, governance, and enterprise architecture standards.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 8+ years of experience in Dynamics 365 CRM (Customer Engagement Customer Service, Sales, or Field Service).

  • 5+ years of experience as a Power Platform/D365 Lead Developer.

  • Expertise in model-driven apps, canvas apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.

  • Strong background in Forms, Views, Plug-ins, Workflows, and custom development.

  • Proficiency with standard and premium connectors , API integrations, and Azure Functions.

  • 3+ years of experience working in a Microsoft GCC tenant.

  • Experience with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 services.

  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and solution optimization skills.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and agency stakeholders.

Highly Desired
  • Experience with DevOps in Power Platform/D365 environments.

  • Prior experience working with Virginia state agencies.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft licensing models for D365 and Power Platform
