Leasing Agent to join their team! The
Leasing Agent is responsible for providing current and prospective residents with the best possible customer service to retain residents and lease apartments. If you are an outgoing, friendly individual who loves working with people, we want to hear from you!
Westview Apartments is managed by Crossbeam Investments, LLP, a Seattle-based property management company with a portfolio of successful commercial and apartment properties located throughout the Puget Sound region. Westview Apartment is a classic apartment community located on Beacon Hill, offering the perfect blend of historic early 1900s construction mixed with modern renovations. Some apartment homes enjoy spectacular views of the Puget Sound, Olympic Mountain range and Downtown Seattle.
The schedule for this position is Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm. Availablity for occasional evening and weekend appointments is also desired. Candidates must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
Key Responsibilities of the Leasing Agent: - Meet and greet prospective residents, complete traffic sheets and maintain guest card files.
- Initiate resident screening.
- Update the leasing handbook.
- Process rental applications for approval.
- Collect deposits and ensure that lease files are complete and correct entries are posted in the accounting system.
- Conduct themselves and property business according to Washington State and federal laws and regulations.
- Accept rent payments and resident service requests as needed by creating work orders, coordinating with maintenance, scheduling maintenance appointments, and closing out work orders.
- Assist with the required weekly and monthly property reports.
- Assist in resolving resident complaints and answer resident questions.
- Perform market research and generate market comparison reports.
- Assist with monitoring curb appeal, office and model appearance and signage. This includes a daily walk of the grounds to keep the area well-maintained.
- Conduct errands off-property including the purchase of supplies, post office mailing, etc.
- Performs other duties as necessary to meet the needs of residents and the property.
What the Successful Leasing Agent will have: - High school education or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in a customer service role a plus.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
- Basic knowledge of Fair Housing laws and regulations.
- Computer proficiency.
- Experience with Yardi or other real estate/accounting software packages preferred.
- Effectively prioritize, multi-task and maintain confidential information.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
- High energy, people skills and a positive attitude.
Compensation: - $20.00 - $24.00 per hour, DOE
- Monthly Bonus potential averaging $300 - $700 per month
