To support our expanding operations, we are seeking a hardworking and reliable Loader/Unloader to join our warehouse team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth handling and movement of products within our logistics network.
Job Overview:
As a Loader/Unloader, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient loading and unloading of products from trucks and storage facilities. You will handle a wide range of goods, from raw ingredients to finished products, and play a key role in keeping our warehouse operations running smoothly. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys physical work and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loading/Unloading Trucks: Safely load and unload goods onto and from trucks, ensuring that products are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Palletizing and Stacking: Organize and stack goods on pallets for transport or storage, ensuring that items are stable and properly secured.
- Inspecting Shipments: Check incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, including verifying quantities, checking for damages, and ensuring products meet company standards.
- Equipment Operation: Use warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified), to move heavy items efficiently.
- Warehouse Organization: Assist in organizing and maintaining the warehouse, keeping it clean and ensuring products are stored in their designated locations.
- Assist with Inventory: Work with the warehouse team to conduct inventory checks, ensuring that all products are accounted for and properly tracked.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other warehouse staff to meet daily shipping and receiving goals, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Safety First: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Physical Stamina: This role involves regular lifting, moving, and carrying of heavy items (up to 50 lbs) throughout the day. Must be comfortable with physical tasks and manual labor.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately inspect goods and verify shipment details to avoid errors in loading and unloading.
- Team Player: Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others in a collaborative environment.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under time constraints to ensure shipments are loaded and unloaded promptly.
- Warehouse Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role is a plus but not required. We are willing to train motivated candidates.
- Forklift Certification (Preferred): Candidates with a valid forklift certification will have an advantage but it is not mandatory.
