Medical Receptionist
We are seeking a part time Medical Receptionist to join our growing team in Fort Worth, TX!

The Position :
The Medical Receptionist is considered a crucial link between the patient and the care delivered by clinical and service staff of the center. This position works collaboratively with the clinical care team, including medical, behavioral health, medical case management and other program services to initiate patient appointments. This is a key position with the goal of fostering an environment which promotes patient and client comfort and trust. The position must exemplify the core values and mission of the organization, always exercising utmost discretion, diplomacy and tact in patient/staff interactions while performing essential front office and back office operational functions in the health Centers and organization.
- Up to $20 Per Hour (Based on Experience)
- Staff Bonuses Quarterly And At The End Of The Year Based On Performance
- Work-From-Home Additional Hours Optional Doing Inbox Messages/Prior Authorizations, Etc. For Additional Income
Schedule Options:
- Part Time Position - 3 Days a Week
- For Right Candidate Full Time Option Open with Full Benefits
- Hours: 8AM to 5PM or 8:30AM to 5:30PM
- No Weekends or Late Nights Required
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer Patient Phone Calls, Addressing:
- Appointment Scheduling
- Medication Refill Requests
- Paperwork Inquiries
- Acute Complaints Requiring An Appointment
- Miscellaneous Patient Concerns
- Perform Blood Draws And Assist With Prior Authorizations During Downtime.
- Complete Additional Tasks As Needed, Including:
- Responding To Inbox Messages
- Sorting Faxes
- Rooming Patients, Including Taking Vitals And Weight
- Cleaning And Maintaining Patient Rooms
Key Characteristics:
- Consistently Shows Up To Work On Time And Maintains Regular Attendance.
- Exhibits A Pleasant Demeanor With Patients, Both On The Phone And In Person, Even In Challenging Situations.
Qualifications:
- Medical Assistant Experience Preferred But Not Required
- Experience: Medical receptionist experience in a healthcare setting is required.
- Technical Proficiency: Knowledgeable in computer software, including word processing, spreadsheet applications, and EMR/EHR systems.
- Professionalism: Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Multitasking Ability: Capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Language Skills: Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
