Job Description

We're looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Party Chief to join our team. If you have a strong background in survey data collection, a keen eye for accuracy, and the ability to work independently, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! In this role, you'll oversee field surveying operations, ensuring precision and reliability in all aspects of the survey process.

What You'll Do:

Lead a survey crew in performing construction staking and other field survey tasks.

Work in various environments, including water, to complete survey assignments.

Set up, operate, and routinely validate survey equipment, including data collectors, digital levels, and GPS systems.

Perform and verify survey-related mathematical calculations.

Prepare and maintain clear, accurate field notes and sketches.

Conduct stakeout and location surveys using industry-standard equipment.

Maintain survey equipment and ensure the survey truck is stocked with necessary supplies and tools.

Train and assist team members in lower-level positions to build their technical skills.

Perform accuracy and calibration checks on all survey equipment.

What We're Looking For:

High school diploma or GED required.

Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a survey party chief.

Proficiency with Trimble Access, Trimble Business Center, Trimble robotic total stations, and Trimble GPS.

Familiarity with Trimble survey styles, site calibration routines, and surveying methodologies.

Knowledge of field procedures for boundary and ALTA/NSPS land title surveys.

Experience conducting various types of surveys, including boundary, topographic, roadway corridor, control, and as-built surveys.

Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons and along roadways or congested traffic areas.

Willingness to travel as needed for fieldwork.
