Key Responsibilities

Patient Coordination: Schedule and manage patient appointments to ensure timely and efficient care. Confirm appointment details, reschedule as needed, and address any patient concerns.

Medical Records Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. Ensure all information is entered correctly and promptly, and assist with gathering necessary medical history and documentation for patient visits.

Insurance Verification & Billing Support: Assist with insurance verification, obtain pre-authorizations, and provide billing support to ensure accurate processing of patient claims.

Clinical Support: Work with medical providers to prepare patients for virtual consultations and assist in providing follow-up instructions as necessary.

Administrative Tasks: Perform general administrative duties, such as filing, scanning, and maintaining patient documentation in compliance with HIPAA privacy regulations.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Medical Assistant, Patient Coordinator, or in a similar healthcare role preferred.

Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare practices.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal).

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote setting.

Familiarity with telehealth platforms and electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.

Understanding of insurance processes and billing procedures.

Must have a quiet, professional workspace with reliable internet access.

Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or related certification is a plus but not required.
