**Job Title: Remote Pharmacist**
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a dedicated and licensed Remote Pharmacist to support multiple hospitals, each with a daily census of 30 to 60 patients. This role involves utilizing ACEIT and various medication processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring compliance with each hospital's policies, protocols, and procedures. As a vital member of the healthcare team, you will contribute to positive clinical outcomes by monitoring, evaluating, verifying, ordering, and making recommendations for the appropriate, safe, and effective use of pharmaceuticals. This position requires professional judgment in clinical decisions and recommendations and may include supervisory responsibilities.
**Qualifications:**
**License or Certification:**
- Licensed in good standing by the State Pharmacy Board for the state in which the hospital is located.
**Education, Training, and Experience:**
- Successful completion of a degree from an accredited pharmacy program or an equivalent program as determined by an appropriate certifying agency.
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience.
**Technical Skills and Equipment:**
- Proficient in using general office equipment such as telephone, copy machine, fax machine, calculator, and computer.
- High-speed internet connection required.
**Physical Requirements:**
- Excellent visual acuity and strong communication skills.
- Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing at least 30 pounds, including medical supplies and equipment, with reasonable assistance for heavier tasks.
- Capable of prolonged standing and walking.
- Ability to reach, stoop, bend, kneel, and crouch as needed for patient care and equipment setup.
**Skills and Abilities:**
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate tasks, analyze information, make decisions, and meet deadlines.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
**Work Environment:**
- Primarily indoor, temperature-controlled, smoke-free environment with occasional outdoor exposure.
- Potential exposure to blood and body fluids.
- Handicapped accessible.
- May involve stressful circumstances at times.
**Professional Standards:**
- Maintains regular, reliable, and predictable attendance and punctuality.
- Adheres to hospital/department dress code, including wearing an ID badge.
- Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, or night shifts as needed to meet deadlines.
- May be required to work on religious and/or legal holidays.
- Willingness to work during disaster situations, including before, during, or after a disaster, and may be required to stay after the workday to assist until relief arrives.
- May be assigned other duties as needed by the supervisor.
