Physical Education Teacher

Lake Region Middle Schools seeks an organized, flexible, energetic teacher able to work well in a fast-paced collegial environment.

In addition to Maine certification (510 - Physical Education), the ideal candidate possesses knowledge of and experience with:

Effective classroom management strategies, including establishing routines and procedures at the start of the school year
MLR standards for implementation in curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices
Proficiency-based education systems
Implementing best teaching practices as they relate to physical education at the middle school level
Developing and supporting student' academic and personal growth
Effective communication strategies for discussing students' progress with students, families, and colleagues

Minimum of Bachelor's degree - Required

Experience teaching middle school PE - Preferred
