As a Technical Program Manager at Genentech, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead all aspects of large-scale, complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish, coordinate physical security and fire system design specifications, and change management between internal teams and external vendors including solution designers and installers.
The responsibilities for this position may include, but are not limited to:
Ensuring the compliance of Physical Security and Fire Controls Systems project standards.
Acquiring systems design, project scope of work, budgets and timelines, from project teams.
Supervising vendors that are delivering fire projects.
Lead multiple projects concurrently to ensure support.
Track schedule and performance by providing high-level project dashboard.
Update and review Physical Security and Fire System Master Specification Standards.
Build and provide software and systems End to End process training for Design and Construction Intake to Handover.
Schedule and lead weekly coordination calls with the onsite Operations Team to ensure projects are delivered on time.
Work with collaborators to plan requirements, identify risks, lead project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company.
Lead and scale physical security and fire programs by defining milestones and success criteria, resource allocation, and successful timely delivery.
Understand the end-to-end solution and implementation path to implement large, complex software and hardware programs.
Coordinate between a multitude of cross-functional teams and set clear expectations about responsibilities to internal and external customers.
Exercise design and architecture-related knowledge to develop and drive technical solutions alongside Security and Fire Operations embedded teams.
Oversight for Physical Security and Fire Systems handover to Service and Operations Team.
Prioritize tasks optimally and work seamlessly across organizational boundaries.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher.
15+ years strong engineering in physical security and fire systems experience.
10+ years in roles influencing senior leaders and executives with discretion and professionalism.
Accomplished in delivering a best-in-class, unified, integrated Security and Fire Platform.
Experience in unifying access control, digital video, identity management, incident management, digital evidence management and is supplemented with an AI computer vision layer.
Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration skills.
Adept at building, managing, and supporting complex programs.
Strong influencing and strategic thinking skills.
Outstanding teamwork and collaboration.
Strong technical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Self-starter and ability to work with minimum or no supervision.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $144,000 - $267,400 USD Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
