Pipeline To God currently has NEW Board Member opportunities available. We're looking for dynamic, forward-thinking individuals who are passionate about making a difference and eager to bring fresh perspectives. As a Board Member, you’ll contribute to strategic decisions, drive impactful initiatives, and collaborate with a diverse team of leaders. We are looking for individuals who bring a broad range of expertise and experience in a variety of areas, including but not limited to:
Specific Skills & Experience:
- Strategic Planning. Interact, engage in, and discuss major areas of organizational analysis that includes strategic planning, budgets, and project proposals.
- Social Media and Marketing Experience. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure social media efforts are integrated with other marketing initiatives.
- Educational Background and/or an understanding of the intersections connecting and integrating mental health, physical health, and education
- Mental Health Experience with an ability to understand and impact all areas of Pipeline’s mental and behavioral health programming from Early Childhood through services for Seniors.
- Expertise in Law and/or other legal concerns and interests related to mental health, employment laws and regulations that impact services through Child Protection agencies.
- Providing feedback : Providing insight on the organization's case for programming and operational support and development strategies
General Board Member Roles & Responsibilities:
As the governing body of Pipeline, the Board is responsible for:
- Determining the mission and purpose of the organization
- Supporting and evaluating the performance of the Executive Director
- Organizational strategic planning and oversight
- Ensuring strong fiscal management and fiduciary oversight, minimizing risks for the organization
- Supporting fundraising efforts and resource development
- Serving as an ambassador for the organization, enhancing the organization’s public image
- Ensuring the legal and ethical integrity of the organization
Individual Board member expectations:
- Attend all regularly scheduled and special Board meetings and actively participate in proceedings
- Actively serve and contribute on at least one Board committee
- Make a meaningful financial contribution to the organization according to individual means.
- Solicit various forms of support and resources for the organization
- Share resources and talents with the organization including expertise, contacts, and ideas
- Maintain and promote high ethical standards including good-faith Board decision making and avoid actual or perceived conflicts of interest with other activities, interests, and/or organizations
- Uphold the legal duties and laws regarding nonprofit governance
Specific Skills & Experience
Ideal Board members will have the following qualities:
- Passionate about the mission of the organization
- Lives in Northeast Ohio (preferred)
- Willing to share professional and individual experiences for the benefit of the organization
- Can commit at least 3-6 hours per month to the organization
- Able to donate or raise a meaningful annual contribution to the organization
- Communicative and engaged
- Ability to serve at least one full 2-year term as a Board member
