The Department of Surgery of District Medical Group Inc. (DMG), a 450+ physician multi-specialty group exclusively contracted to provide patient care and Graduate Medical Education for the Valleywise Healthcare System (VH) is actively seeking a full-time Podiatry Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to work primarily at our Peoria, AZ multi-specialty clinic.  The position, which includes employment through DMG, will assist the attending surgeons on the podiatry service to deliver high quality patient care services. VH is a public hospital system and state designated Level 1 Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. VH is also home to the Az Burn Center.

The Podiatry Surgery APP will be responsible to perform the following duties:

• Perform history and physical examinations of patients in an outpatient setting
• Enter patient orders as directed.
• Review and discuss results of medical imaging and laboratory studies with attending physician, medical staff, and/or patients as appropriate.
• Advise patients on foot care and general wellness practices.
• Order additional medical studies (such as X-rays, ultrasounds, CT and MRI)
• Perform outpatient bedside procedures including, but not limited to palliative care, injections, nail removal, wound care, etc.
• No night or weekend call required.
