Job Description

What if your precision set the pace?

Imagine starting your shift, ticket in hand, already mapping out the door build: skins staged on cupboards, components ready from the glue spreader. You position the cull board on the lift table, place each glued part to spec, and finish with a clean top skin. A tap of the foot pedal lines the lift table with the transfer cart, and the completed stack rolls out—on time and on quality.

Why this role

  • Consistent schedule: 2nd shift, 3:00 p.m.–1:30 a.m., Monday–Friday (enjoy weekends off)
  • Competitive pay: $17–$20 per hour plus $2/hour shift differential

Your impact

  • Turn production tickets into precise assemblies—every build matched to customer specifications.
  • Read/interpret tickets and quality specs; run independently with minimal supervision.
  • Place components accurately for proper door construction across door types, core types, and stile/rail/block configurations.
  • Perform visual quality checks; verify quality and quantity continuously.

What it takes

  • Knowledge: Door construction fundamentals; door and core types; stile/rail/block types.
  • Skill: Comprehend build construction specs; execute with speed and accuracy.
  • Team mindset: Work closely with a feeder and another operator.

Physical and mental readiness

  • Lift up to 20 lbs on Hollow Core and Heritage Specials line; up to 80 lbs on Solid Core and Specials line.
  • Frequent bending, twisting, stooping; excellent dexterity and eye/hand coordination.
  • Comfort with fast pace, handling multiple glued parts; stand for long continuous hours.
  • Constant attention to build details and material placement; vigilant about glue levels and hand placement.

Work setting

  • Mildly controlled environment; expect some cold/heat during extreme weather and mild dust.

Proficiency that stands out

  • Building Incentive Based Rates for Production
