Registered Dietitian – Part-Time Opportunity in Los Angeles, CA

A respected health group with a clinic in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a dedicated Registered to join their team in a temp-to-perm role.

Pay: $40/hour

Position Overview:

Schedule: Tuesdays & Thursdays
Reports To: Medical Director
Responsibilities: Provide personalized nutrition counseling as part of the Medical Department. The primary clientele includes low-income, non-English or limited-English-speaking individuals (with interpreter support) facing conditions like diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and hyperlipidemia.

Qualifications:

License: If not a Certified Diabetes Educator, the RD must complete or work towards 15 hours of Continuing Education (CE) in diabetes-specific or related topics within the first 6 months. CEUs must be from an accredited agency.
Experience: Minimum two years in community-based or clinical settings.
Cultural Competency: Knowledge of or willingness to learn dietary adaptations suitable for Latino and Asian/Pacific Islander populations.
Youth Experience: Preferred experience working with Asian, Pacific Islander, and Latino teens, including recent immigrant communities.
