About The Role
We're seeking a Safety Specialist to join our Safety & Quality team. This is a full-time, permanent role based at Moorabbin Airport, offering a great opportunity for either:
You’ll play a key role in supporting or leading safety investigations, monitoring trends, identifying risks, and helping embed a positive and proactive safety culture.
What You'll Be Doing
Assist with or lead safety investigations (e.g. ICAM, Bow Tie)
Identify hazards and help manage operational risks
Support the development and improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS)
Analyse safety data and provide insights and reports
Assist in compliance with CASA, ICAO and internal standards
Collaborate with pilots, engineers, and frontline staff to strengthen safety performance
Promote a just culture and contribute to safety training initiatives

You’ll Need To Bring
Passion for aviation safety and operational excellence
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Curiosity and willingness to learn new systems and processes
Ability to work with operational teams and promote a proactive safety culture
Bonus If You Have
Experience in safety investigations or SMS processes
Qualifications in aviation, safety, or human factors
Understanding of CASA/ICAO regulations
Experience in safety training or promotion activities
