We have a phenomenal P hysical Therapy Assistant opportunity at one of our partner School Districts in Aberdeen, Washington . This position is in-person and part-time at 24 hours per week for the remainder of the 24-25 school year. Must have WA state license. 

You will play a vital role in providing comprehensive physical therapy services to students within the school system under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Your expertise in implementing treatment plans, conducting therapy sessions, and assisting students in achieving their physical goals will contribute to enhancing their motor abilities, functional independence, and overall educational success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Physical Therapist in implementing treatment plans for students with physical disabilities or injuries.
• Provide direct physical therapy services to students, focusing on improving mobility, strength, and motor skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' functional abilities in the educational environment.
• Conduct therapeutic exercises and activities to address students' specific needs and goals.
• Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment interventions as necessary.
• Assist in the selection and setup of adaptive equipment and assistive devices for students' use.
• Educate students, families, and caregivers on home exercise programs and strategies for promoting mobility and independence.
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to contribute to goal development and service planning.
• Maintain professional competence through ongoing training and continuing education activities.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in school-based physical therapy practice.

Requirements for this position:

• Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  
• State licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational or pediatric setting preferred.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work effectively in a dynamic school environment.
• Dedication to professional growth and continuing education in pediatric physical therapy.
