Job Description
This position is responsible for preparing injection molding machines and work stations to run production and test molds. The Set-Up Technician position is a 12-hour shift from 7:30pm-7:45am.
Responsibilities: - Working with hand tools
- Hanging and removing injection molding molds
- Purging barrels
- Setting up and breaking down work stations
- Organizing and Cleaning work areas
- Setting up End of Arm Tooling
- Is familiar with the company’s Quality Management System, including Quality Policy and Quality Objectives and the impact they employee has on meeting the objectives
- Must have the ability to set up and tear down molds from machines
- Machine Operator skills such as inspect parts per customer requirements, trim parts as needed and package as required
- Must be able to deal with a fast-paced environment
- Must have strong motivation to learn
- Must display mechanical aptitude
- Other duties may be assigned as needed to meet Company objectives
- Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
Skills and Qualifications: - Manufacturing software IQMS
- Mechanically Inclined
- Familiar with Plastic Injection Molding Machine Controls
- Scheduling software
- Knowledge of Plastics Materials Dry Times and Temperatures
- 1 Year of Forklift and Overhead Crane Experience
