Key Responsibilities: * Resident Evaluation & Treatment Planning: Assess residents' speech and language needs and develop personalized treatment plans. * Activity Selection: Design activities that help residents improve independence in their daily activities. * Progress Monitoring: Observe and assess resident performance, adjusting treatments as necessary, and preparing detailed progress reports. * Rehabilitation Support: Assist in the rehabilitation of residents affected by injury, illness, or other conditions. * Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure a clean, safe, and supportive environment for residents and staff. * Confidentiality: Maintain resident confidence by ensuring the secure handling of confidential information. * Documentation: Keep accurate and up-to-date records of resident care and progress, auditing department records as necessary. * Team Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare teams to contribute to a cooperative and supportive team environment. Requirements * Education: Graduate of an accredited Speech Therapy Program. * Licensing: Current New York State Speech Language Pathologist License. * Experience: Prior experience is preferred, but not required.
