Bell Plumbing is Hiring for a Staff Accountant to join our team!
Since 1926, Bell Plumbing & Heating Co. has proudly served the Denver community with quality service and trusted expertise. We’re looking to add a Staff Accountant to our team—someone who’s driven, detail-oriented, and ready to grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Salary: $60,000 – $80,000 per year, based on experience
What You’ll Do:
General Accounting
- Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and balance sheet accounts
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Prepare account analyses and assist with audits and tax inquiries
Payroll Processing
- Prepare and process weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees
- Verify timesheets, benefit deductions, and withholdings
- Maintain payroll records in compliance with federal, state, and local laws
- Coordinate with HR on hiring, terminations, and pay adjustments
Financial Reporting
- Assist with financial statements and management reports
- Support budgeting and forecasting
- Help ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies
Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Review and process expense reports
- Manage invoicing and collections activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 1+ years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in Sage Intacct and Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Comfortable with change and shifting priorities
- Ability to maintain accurate records and clear audit trails
- Follows up on issues and communicates effectively with stakeholders
- Responds to requests in a timely and complete manner
