Tax Accountant - CPA
Remote or On-Site in South Florida
Salary: $175,000
We are excited to welcome a talented and motivated CPA to our dynamic tax and accounting service firm! If you have 4-5 years of experience as a Tax Accountant and a passion for helping small businesses navigate the complexities of the IRS tax code, we'd love to hear from you.
In this role, you will collaborate with a dedicated team, guiding junior accountants and optimizing tax strategies for our clients. While this position is not client-facing, your expertise and creative problem-solving skills will be crucial in fostering a supportive environment and resolving tax-related issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and apply IRS tax code, with a particular focus on small business tax matters.
- Utilize your knowledge of Qualified Business Income (QBI) deductions and tax credits to help clients maximize their savings.
- Collaborate with fellow accountants, providing mentorship and support to junior staff.
- Lead internal discussions to address questions and resolve tax-related challenges.
- Manage tax data and reporting using software tools such as Sage, CCH, and Excel.
Qualifications:
- CPA license with 4-5 years of experience as a Tax Accountant, specifically in small business taxation.
- Strong knowledge of IRS tax code, QBI deductions, and applicable tax credits.
- Proficiency in using Sage, CCH, and Excel software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a creative approach to developing tax strategies.
